This is one of my favorite songs from my first full Gospel “album”, The Faith EP. The concept behind this song is the humble perspective I’m trying to develop about my relationship with God, and with my Savior, Jesus Christ. In my secular life, I used to feel like I would earn my place in a relationship. The person I was involved with, be it a friendship, work relationship or otherwise, I felt like I deserved to be treated a certain way based on who I was. Of course, at this time I wasn’t prepared to understand my fallen nature. If I did, I would certainly not want what I deserved. I would want just the opposite.
So when I began my journey into the truth, it was hard for me to adjust to a new perspective on relationships. To make a long story short, I’m grateful for how I see things now. As a child of God, I am worthy of love, and my fellow believers are commanded to treat me with love, and my God can only do what is in His inherent nature, and He will love me always. I’m so grateful for that. I know that no matter what happens, He will always love me, and I will always love Him. That’s just so unbelievable. There’s not much more I can say about it, but I did my best with the song. Please give it a listen, and if you like it or it encourages discussion of your faith, please share it.
