So in my enthusiasm in learning to make music with this platform, there are definitely things that I would do differently if I went back to the beginning, but over my career as an artist I developed a philosophy about never going back and redoing anything I had done, because I think that our art shows our development, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. That being said, be careful of composing a song in AI that is “drenched in reverb”.

And now to the song itself, Chase the Wind was one of my early favorites, as it is an interpretation of the early parts of the book of Ecclesiastes, which I was knee deep in at the time. What I love about this song is that it really reminds me of how small I am in God’s huge plan. I think when we’re young and prideful, sometimes feeling small is a bad thing, but for me, today, feeling small can be a real relief. I want to live in a huge world full of wonder where I am just a small part grateful to even be a part of it. That’s a lot better than living under the limits of what I can make for myself.
