I’m really excited about posting this song. It was one of my favorites early on in this project, and a big departure from the other songs I had written up until this point. I wanted to write a song from the perspective of a son to his father, and it made me think about my own father and what he might enjoy. Now to be clear, if my father was around to hear this song, I’m not sure he would be able to sit all the way through it, but it’s sentimental for me regardless to have given it the bluesy feel it has. It’s an interpretation of the early parts of the book of Proverbs, which have meant a lot to me. I hope you enjoy it.
