I’m a big fan of a lot of the music that we today call “oldies”. Music from the 60s was still very popular when I was growing up in the 80s, which radio stations dedicated to the era going strong for decades. It’s crazy to me today to think that when I was growing up, many of the songs on the those stations were only 15-20 years old, and we were calling them oldies, yet today rock stations still play Nirvana, Pearl Jam and similar others that are now over 30 years old, and we think nothing of it.

Well, anyway, all of that to say many of those songs hold a little place in my heart, including the song “Turn, Turn, Turn” by the Byrds. It’s just such a great song. Even before I was a believer I enjoyed the sentimental nature of the song, and how it just sounded like something sweet a person who loved you would say to you. Well, of course it is, because it’s from the Bible. Of course, I didn’t know this when I was young, but I was happy to discover it when I finally began reading the Word.
