This is another modern arrangement of a classic hymn, this one by Charles Wesley. I had never heard this hymn before I began researching classics for this project. I can imagine why I’ve never heard it during a worship service, as it’s very long, but wow, what a beautiful song! It’s a testament to what a masterpiece these classic hymns are that someone like me can just load it into a platform like Suno with a reasonably fitting instrumental, and in mere minutes produce something so wonderful to listen to. I only made very slight changes to modernize the language, otherwise it’s intact as intended.

I think my favorite moment in the song is the lyrics “I feel the life that His wounds impart, I feel the Savior in my heart”. You can be critical of AI music all you like, but the soulful expression of the vocals on this track are, to me, mind blowing. I’m very grateful to the Lord for guiding me in the direction of this song. It has been a blessing to me, I hope it is to you as well.
